Set Up School Websites On Amazon Fire

Your child’s school along with many other amazing resources are being provided for free right now. But setting them up on your child’s device is not always straightforward. Many of these materials have logins, or are hidden pages making them difficult to access behind parental controls. But do not fear! I can help you set up those school websites on your kids amazon fire tablet.

This tutorial walks you through how to allow web pages and web content (like YouTube) to your child’s Amazon Fire tablet. If you haven’t yet, be sure to set up a child profile in the Amazon Fire tablet, here’s how. You might want to also control your kid’s content and activity on the fire tablet. Check out how to do that

Step One:

Swipe Down on the top of the Tablet screen and go to your profile icon.

Then Select Settings (gear icon).

Step Two:

Select Profiles and Family Library

Then select your child’s profile

Step Three:

Scroll down to Web Settings, ensure that the Enable Web Browser option is selected or else any website’s or YouTube videos will be unavailable.

Select Limit Web Content

Step Four:

Select Websites

Then select the + button in the upper right corner of the screen to start adding the websites provided by your school.

**You will most likely have to type these web addresses in, unless you have access to these emails on the tablet, which you can copy and paste from.**

For each website that you want to allow, Select Allow in the upper right corner of the screen.

Step Five:

For YouTube and other video resources, select Web Videos

For each video you want to allow, enter in the web address, or search for the YouTube channel, select the video from the channel video list.

Select Allow in the upper right corner of the screen.

Step 6:

The Settings allow you to further control your child’s website usage. You will want to keep cookies active as your child’s progress in any school activity or test may be lost if you do not enable this. You may want to allow the Pre-Approved Web Content or not, it’s probably safer to allow it since it will reduce the likelihood of you accidentally blocking some of this content you have specifically added.

Finally, you will find all of this content on your child’s profile under “Added For You”
